Dallas Buyers Club is now downloaded and placed on forced seeding. While I’m a bit annoyed at being so crudely forced to use disk and connection resources on a movie I have no intention of watching, I still derive much pleasure from the knowledge that, even while seeding other torrents as well, I can easily upload a few hundred copies a week, and probably get ahead, and stay ahead, of their number of lawsuits within a few months. By their logic (that every download is a lost sale), people like me, who seed vindictively, should quickly put their endeavor in the red.

The problem with VPN’s, even great ones, is that in my experience they always seem to drop the connection, exposing one’s activities. I have Private Internet Access and it happens all the time on my Windows 8 machine. I’m relatively confident that when it’s ON, it works, but have zero confidence that it can actually STAY on.
