Copyright is a privilege, not a human right. Not a constitutional right (in any constitution). Copyright is simply a tacked-on privilege interfering with actual human rights. And as such should be continually evaluated as to pertains the necessity of it.

And tht’s what the copyright cult fears most because it’s quite obvious it won’t pass the bar of necessity and proportionality today.

Yes you are. by any law “media” belongs to the person whose hard drive contains the 1′s and 0′s.

“Copyright” simply interferes with the ownership of said hard drives. Simply because when all is said and done, ownership rights trump copyright privilege any time and every time.

The perceived “entitlement” is all about the so-called “rightsholders” whose privilege has gone on for too long and for too far.

Read the above link. There are very good reasons as to why you can’t build a deent internet levy distribution model when everyone has been taught the proper way to share media is to hide you’ve been sharing it.

No single country can properly share the levy since no one knows whether the person using their vpn to download was in fact a citicen of the country where the exit node belongs. Usually not.

Secondly, although I personally am all for porn, it will be politically difficult for most governments to spend 35% of a given tax allotment paying the porn industry.

So you don’t really know who to make the payout to or why. And of what is visible, 35% is a national budget allocated to porn Difficult to sell to the average politician…
