It’s called “marketing 101″. Basically it means that every time the local paradigm changes you adapt your market model. Which is why you see a lot of automobile manufacturers and metallurgists but very few horse coach lines and blacksmiths.

It’s the central tenet of market capitalism. Adapt or vanish.

But it’s certainly convenient for an industry if it can retain a 1000% margin from selling plastic discs instead of having to go with the flow and trim down the gross overcharging.

I also don’t understand the bald fuck’s statement about lower prices…if prices were too high assholes will pirate shit because they are cheap fags who don’t pay for shit. at the same time Netflix has ruined the fucking video business because now consumers think that movies are worth $7.99 a month for all you can eat. They fucked the video industry by devaluing DVDs. Same goes for red box. Fuck you pirate assholes.
