Tor is not a transparent proxy. Tor uses onion routing and encryption in such a way that the end party and ISPs in the middle can’t identify the user. Your providing misinformation or don’t understand how Tor works. Many articles have been written that don’t understand how Tor works either and are linking it to pedophilia and other illegal activities despite this being a small percentage of people using it. While it may make up the majority of
traffic it doesn’t mean its being used that way by the majority of its users. Even if it were used in that way freedom of thought absolutely must trump all. Anything short of this and your living in totalitarian state. You may not understand how this negatively impacts you now although it does. As it stands in the United States you only need to be accused of a crime, arrested, and the guilty verdict is guaranteed. 95% of people arrested for a felony plead guilty due to a justice system that essentially says plead guilty on a lesser charge or face the very real possibility of spending the rest of your life in prison. Hmm spend 1 year in prison or the rest
of my life? I’m not guilty… but that is no longer relevant when there is a very high chance of a guilty verdict. The government has unlimited resources compared to defendants, and prosecutors use unfair tactics to gain convictions despite laws which are suppose to
provide the accused with any evidence which might help them win.
