True… in the way it’s working currently. I was thinking of a way to add hosts shared by peers much like openresolv does with a VPN connection: subsequent name servers are appended to the global resolv file. Why not apply the same principle to hosts shared with P2P? Or even extend /etc/nsswitch.conf :

The problem with sharing a whole Hosts file is that it would overwrite whatever entries people already have. I know most people don’t use the Hosts file for anything, but some of us use it to block ads.
