Another possible reason is that Finland is such a Nanny State, its citizens are much more likely to comply with ‘official’ letters of this nature.

Remeber the case about the 60 year old widow that was sued for the same kind of thing, for sharing some songs on a DC network through her IP address, this was thrown out of court because she had a party at the time of the infringment and an open network. A secure network is not required by law (hence compatibility issues with older equipment). So the only thing someone has to reply on a notice like this is: ” I do not know of such infringment, it was not me and if it was trully done on my network and therefore my IP address at the time you state, then it was done without my knowledge and approval.
Just make sure you have an open network when they check, or state that you closed your network after receiving the letter to prevent further problems, that you now only open it when a not supported device must be used. Case closed, there is already a ruling about this… seach torrentfreak on this… must be here somewhere.

The Finnish citizens should start suing the shit out of these trolls, as it would be their burden of proof to prove otherwise.

I wonder if I can move to Finland and then sue Obama for spying on me. As it would be his burden of proof to prove that he wasn’t spying on me. LoL

And if they didn’t spy on me, then they won’t have anything to show that they didn’t. Aka I win either way.
