Open-and-shut: this is why basic copyright protection is a necessary evil.

Nobody is stopping the game company making (and selling) games about space-nazis, but to deliberately and wilfully try and profit of the work (yes, creativity is work, hard work) and sweat of another team is wrong.

I hope Apple supports the Iron Sky guys and pulls this game.

I also hope the Chinese chaps learn from their mistakes, adapt and subsequently do well with Space Communists from Venus :)

The problem here is how people who are doing fun, noncommercial things with intellectual property are punished, when they shouldn’t be. This game company is selling a game, and trying to promote it as something which it is not. That is just wrong. If the game was free, I think it would be a sort of, different story, but because this company is making money, I don’t agree with their tactics. Also, the game company should have added a huge disclaimer saying they were not associated with Iron Sky, but no, they wouldn’t do that. That is very wrong of the game company. Shame on them.

Copyright laws are supposed to let you fight back from getting ripped by a bunch of assholes in China. As opposed to ripping off the end customer like the laws are being abused for now.

That sucks, have you tried contacting this company directly? I know China sort of makes a business of copying things and calling them their own (and they usually aren’t as good as the original) but maybe this company would be willing to stop?

Of course the good thing in all this is, at least you know people in china are watching your movie.
