Google is sneaky, but not evil. Both of their operating systems are 100% open source. Although their android, chrome os, and chrome browser all have various anti-privacy features turned on by default, you can disable all of that in the preferences. They have fought copyright and spying bills.

As a user of the Google’s software I take the steps to protecting myself from all of their tracking, but I appreciate a lot of what they do.
