Where am i giving ANYONE any credit ?
And what in the name of Satan’s left joynugget do the takedown requests have to do with Chilling Effects ?
I know they’re published there, but my comment wasn’t about them.
Or even about Google per sé, it’s about how EVERYONE should give these fuckwit companies what they want; honour ALL the takedown requests, and if they then find their own content censored out by Google/Yahoo/Bing/Whoever, and they then get targeted by lawsuits from people who wrongfully got their content censored, they’ll have no one to blame but themselves.
They want to censor the net ?
GIVE THEM ALL THE ROPE THEY WANT TO HANG THEMSELVES WITH.

That was my message.
Nothing about giving credit to anyone for anything.

I used to process Chilling Effects claims passed to us by Google. This has been happening for years — a decade or more.

Chilling Effects, and the free student graduate labor, caught this, and you should give them credit for it. Wendy Seltzer is the founder of CE and she too should get credit.

It doesn’t “run”, but Google “indexes” the entire internet. And since only indexed content can be found today, that means they pretty much make anything else inaccessible to googling users.

It’s like we’re stupid and don’t get their game. A big US corporation is
part of a big conspiracy meant to bring down to its knees another big US
corporation.
…by mistakenly overflowing Google’s job to filter out content. A bit like in the 90′s, when “hackers” used to DDoS servers.
