"Or perhaps the Hollywood studios will create an official Pirate Bay profile, to start uploading trailers of their latest movies there as well…?"

You know, Hollywood is always complaining they're loosing billions of profit & pirate site admins are making millions from their hard work....

So why don't they open up their own? They could be making the millions from the ad revenue. They could use the paywall feature of Bittorrent and charge something. I'd be willing to drop like $5 or $10 for a copy of the 2015/2016 Star Trek movie from The Paramount Bay.

It could be especially helpful for Hollywood as they could release uHD Blu-ray quality versions while The Pirate Bay and et al only have access to cams that are out of focus and show the theater's ceiling more than the actual movie.

as usual, it's ok for some but not for others. the 'dont do what i do, do what i tell you' being the operative approach.
the industries dont want to really stop sites such as vkontakte, they just want to either control them or replace them with their own. the advertising is just the industries way of saying 'i know where you are and what you're doing. the days are numbered!'
what i find so strange is that Russian government actually taking any notice of what the USA says when it should be ignoring it and ignore even more the ridiculous '301 list'!!

industry at it's finest they are the only industry that does it's best to lose money. I'm sure of this.

1. Grooveshark they have legit labels on board, they are paying these labels money per day/month/week/year. while their signing up their trying to have it shut down.

2. Netflix/hulu, the systems are setup and in place, they are making multi millions from people with accounts in countries that carry less content so they use a vpn to access the site the content their also LEGALLY paying monthly for. What do they do? Lobby for VPN's to be banned which then in turn would lose millions as people would just cancel their countries netflix/hulu subscriptions.

3. All kinds of labels signed upto spotify, for years they was signing up but again trying to close it down.

4. on and on and on.. now this Russian social website. Their adverts on their, they have their own pages there, they probably advertise and upload there own stuff there, but then still trying to shut it down.

I've never in 40 years come across a more self destructive way of life than these fuckwits and how they run their businesses cartels.

Then complain about piracy lol and drops in their profits well no shit! i wonder why that could be! these people are just not from this world they cannot be.
