this could be a point - maybe we should all start doing this - at same point the ISP will not be able to follow - or for that matter be able to tell the difference ... go ahead ask your ISP to disclose all IPs of your swarm :))

I was taken to court a few months ago...

They failed to prove that I had anything to do with the downloads they claimed to have taken place.

They argued that I was responsible as I paid the bill, which I do not.

They claimed I was responsible inspite of that because the ISP account was in my name.

The judge almost loled at them.

They failed to even convince the judge that any significant amount of data had been downloaded at all.

Then he dismissed the case.

I've noticed a lot of IPv6 addresses showing up as peers on my uTorrent client running on Win7. My home router doesn't do IPv6 and neither does my ISP, so how are they getting to me and vice versa? How can anyone prove that that IPv6 address is solely mine? I know the answers and shouldn't that leave enough doubt right there to disprove any "evidence" anti-P2Pers may try to present for a lawsuit?

You people are forgetting this. The burden of PROOF is on you! They just send the disconnects to you. Then YOUR the one that has to go to BATTLE to get your internet turned back on. Thats the problem. Its much easier for them. Your the one who has to go get a lawyer and figure out how your going to go defend yourself. That could take years, seriously YEARS. Its not like they are taking you to court and you have to go in and throw some stupid excuse at them. Its more like you sitting at home alone when your cable is shut off. Then YOU have to go figure it all out how YOUR going to go after them. Thats why we need another way and frickin fast. 3 strikes your OUT, like OUT of having the resource of information, imagine having to go to your neigbors to look at Torrent Freak for an answer, there are none on here. Your seriously SCREWED, thats what its about. Not a drama in a court room. Your only "dreaming" if you think its that easy.
These people are to F@@ you up and get you kicked off the net. It has not much to do with money. Their way is far more evil than you can imagine.
Imagine, tomarrow you get disconnected. Who ya goin to call? Steven Speilberg? The cable company wont help you. So immediatly you will be looking for a lawyer that has NO CLUE how to help you. Its going to cost you alot more than the movie would ever cost you.

A good test to see if programs like peerblock would be to add one of those peers to Peerblocks's block list and see if that peer is blocked from connecting. I didn't see anything in this video to indicate a program like Peerblock doesn't work at all. It's obvious it works a least a little bit.
