Good grief. Some of those mistakes are absolutely elementary, especially the last mistake! A basic understanding of how torrents work makes it obvious that you can't simply add up multiple trackers. Picking a torrent at random from my Bittorrent client, it has... 9 different trackers. Several are inactive, but there's at least 3 that are currently active, and that's not even considering that I could be downloading without any trackers at all!

Statistics: it is a science (at least some colleagues tell me :D ). But statistics ca be skewed any way, by just ignoring (intentionaly) some variables.
So even this statistic can be made harmless by including the "duplicated" seeders.
In every document I'm sure all the used variables are presented, but who can spot the missing 2 out of 500 who would change the number completely?

Statistics are good and reliable in controled enviroments, which torrent sites ARE NOT. These statistics should NOT make it to court, no matter who makes them. The fact that one of the sides actually pays for them makes them even more unreliable.

Second 45's comments

Though with this particular uni not being an Ivy league equivalent (Ballarat is not a capital city for the benefit of non-Australians) I'm not surprised by this result (payed $$ to produce phoney research report).

A nice PS for your emails Ernesto,
"Thanks for depreciating the value of IT Qualifications from former and current students of the University of Ballarat" [myself included].
