So when a Chevy owner hits me, I can go after GM? If ISPs can be held liable for the actions of their customers, why not? It’s already started with gun manufacturers, you think arguments like this just maintain their boundaries and limits forever?

@36 First of all, ISPs outside of the cable company are sluggish. Most people that can have cable have it. And most people dont have a choice unless you want dial up.
@38 Second of all, the able company WILL disconect you, its happening,I have worked in the cable company and have friends and family that still do, and they absolutely do disconnect you at the pole. And the cable company cannot decide whether or not you get turned back on.

“No its going to be about YOU having to try to get your internet back on.”

Assuming that ISP will go with that and this is doubtful there is still many ways to do this and shit them back.

Moreover the technology that will replace internet because it does not require any ISP and is anonymous is already available for those with a WIFI card. All it’s take for people to switch is somebody messing up further with internet as an incentive.

Sooner or later it is going to hapen.

ACTA won’t pass. Even if it does it will center more around counterfeit products such as fake shoes rather than piracy. The piracy section of this has enraged people, but no one cares about the other sections.
