“The standard request is to disable the account” This is disgusting, how dare they attempt this in a country where the Internet is primed to revolutionise the population of South Africa’s next generation. Currently just an 1/8th of the country has Internet access, yet already foreign corporations are applying pressure for ISPs to comply with extortionate requests, which if they are forced to address, will drive up costs for the remaining 85% of would-be netizens.

Uh oh. Looks like Obama will have to extend his African trip… or put some strings on that $7 billion contribution for African infrastructure (while at the same time cutting almost half a billion dollars from a portion of the US budget used for maintaining sewage treatment and water quality infrastructure)
