While this is good news, the bad news is that it means he won’t be sitting in the Patents County Court the next time these copyright trolling cases come through – particularly once the Digital Economy Act comes into force fully (if it ever does).

This is good news indeed and lets hope Judge Colin Birss does do well in his new job.

At least unlike when those ACS:Law cases went unopposed by ISPs these days public rights organizations are allowed to voice the opposition of the public.
