Once again I DARE movie studios and copyright trolls to sue people in this country. Of course even gathering the “evidence” is illegal so it will unfortunately never happen.

Actually, it struck me that this may be the greatest irony of all.

The film is about HIV/Aids patients illicitly getting access to drugs, to try and treat their condition. The lead character illegally imports them, and then distributes them amongst the members for no profit.

They needed to do it because they could not get those drugs legitimately. The FDA had not licensed any of the drugs in question so were delaying any chance of legally obtaining them in the USA.

Now the reality was more complex than the film, but the parallels between the story and current reality are….amusing.

What’s wrong with judges this week? Was they not offered enough money and all decided i know what lets for once use our common sense when it comes to making fresh new laws.

These days it doesn’t matter at all what new laws are passed. It’s clearly a pointless exercise. As even the police, industry and governments are just making up their own new laws as they go along AND up to now getting away with it.

a decent judge makes a level headed common sense verdict which is great i am thankful there is still some people who’s not walked through the “Strip me of my common sense machine” or signed away their rights to use common sense.

But some judge next week will completely ignore this and decide to try and rule something else. Something the industry wants and the big corps.

Then magically it sticks and judges and other lawyers then follow THAT ruling.
That seems to be the way it goes, a judgement is made, they don’t like it they ignore it. or a judgement is made in their favour they then use this judgement like it’s the next holy grail or set in stone.
