I am the CTO of an ISP and I'm deeply sorry for... my country...

I wish you (mail.ru and its users) good luck... but no site, even the most blatant mistakes, has ever been removed from the censorship lists as the removal requires organization and further work that noone is doing....

Again, sorry....

Are you a member of VK ?

You can upload your music and video's to your profile it's kind of cool.
I'm guessing the copyright mob don't like the fact you can search the entire site for music & video uploads by all members.

The number of members on VK is higher than the population of Russia.

just like pedo rings, hate crime rings, suicide websites,
their illegal because they've been removed pulled offline right?

so why is all these 50 blocked sites in Europe still completely accessible and operational in other countries?

Until the sites get taken down all over the world and not blocked here and
there, i personally do not take these sites to be illigal, or they
simply wouldn't exist period. instead of being blocked.

But if they kill piracy at the root of the problem, and piracy diminishes to a point of rare instances, what will the MPAA, RIAA, Rightscorp, CEG TEK, APCH, APB, and the countless other copyright enforcement groups & agencies going to do then? We can't have so many jobs lost due to them actually solving the problem.

No sir, it's a cat and mouse game for a very good reason. And that won't change anytime soon, Too many people's paycheck depend on piracy now. And if they start to win and piracy starts to vanish, they will find a way to continue its survival because their own livelihood hangs in the balance.

Why do you think we have all of this outrageous regulation and restrictions placed on p2p and cyber lockers. When they make little attempts to remove the source file as you stated, or even go after content so aggressively on streaming portals. And all of this time, resources, and man power spent into copyright regulations instead of media distribution. Again, providing a legal alternative for the masses has shown to greatly reduce piracy. We can't have that now, that costs people's jobs.

They have seen what happened to music piracy with the insertion of iTunes, Spotify, Rhapsody, and soon Kim's Baboom, and even YouTube. Music piracy is at an all time low. And that's why we see these copyright enforcement agencies focus their efforts on strictly movie copyright or a broad spectrum (covering anything from software to books).

They have caused piracy to be a big booming business with VPN's and settlement demands. It's much like the Banks here in America, yea they are corrupt as fuck, but as our chief secretary has once stated "These business has become too big to fail"

All this will do is encourage more people to provide services in Italy and they will be services that route around the dumbshits in power that understand nothing about much other than their bank accounts.
Hopefully this idiot will be made to look so stupid he will resign or be fired.

To be frank, this is a normal occurrence. There are hundreds of small-fry sites that are completely legitimate and process DMCA notices yet you will never find them on Google, and likely included in the "not for public eyes" block list.

It's not until a company that has a huge user base and funds to make a stink do people become aware. And as for the plaintiff, we all see how quick they are to resolve this issue with one of Russia's most visited site.

So you can imagine what kind of response you get from these plaintiffs when you're just a small-fry, if any answer at all.

Remember, the Copyright Cartel and it's powers that be are far greater than Mail.ru ever could be. So it's understandable that they want Mail.ru to just suck it up and move on. How dare Mail.ru challenge the godly powers granted to the copyright cartel. I see a good smiting coming for Mail.ru. /sarcasm

What is Mail.ru going to do, go cry to Putin' about unjustified website blocking? LoL, I'm sure he's the one who gave Italy the idea! /sarcasm
