Link from TPB works. It downloads one-file .exe “installer” of 1MB size followed by 150MB of repeated “PADDINGXXX”. Installer is not real OOo installer, but it tries to download page from “mytechbox.info/openoffice/” . This web is probably not working now, but webarchive points it to http://preview.licenseacquisition.org/48/1056569396.56416/openoffice.exe which is now “real” OpenOffice installer. From this (similar topic http://pidgin.im/pipermail/devel/2009-July/008625.html ) owner of site is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zango_(company) . With this informations it seems to be clever not to install it on priced clean computer :-D.

BTW preview.licenseacquisition.org has nowhere source codes of pidgin nor openoffice, so takedown can be even valid :-D (blocking link instead source is of course bad idea).

Proposal: no more mass takedowns. Each and every URL to be individually signed for by an actual person who’ll take full responsibility if it turns out to be wrongly listed, or nothing gets taken down.

I’ve not used Windblows sense WindowsXP. Got tired of the viral bullshit. Been flying Mint ever sense. Linux is tricky with compatable hardware so you’ve gotta do your research, but damn, it’s worth it.
