It’s always the movies people can’t see/find in a theater (in bruges), the ones that seem like they may at best be ok, but don’t want to either potentially waste their money and/or put up with the hassle of the movie theater experience (assholes in the crowd, anyone?), or ones people want to have a copy of to watch before the regular DVD comes out. While it should be able to say something for who downloads what movies and why, it’s a shame the movie industry never looks into it past “they’re stealing all of these shitty movies that didn’t even last a month in theaters”.

I must be one of the only people who thought In Bruges was a terrible film….
Be Kind Rewind was ok….not that great but ok….
I may check out Wargames….

one thing is for sure.. if I couldnt download this stuff, I wouldnt see it. Its actually a really good thing to think about.. can you LIVE without movies?

Based on the quality of movies these days, and the sheer amount of them vs good ones.. there is no way I would pay for this. If piracy was stopped tomorrow, I would be happy knowing I can live without it. In the meantime, I waste hours watching movies I immiedetly delete afterwards..

Now imagine a world where movies were made with quality.. where going to the movie theater was fun again and not ‘just something to do’. And the price was fair, and you didn’t feel like you getting raped even if the movie wasn’t the best.

Would you pay now? My answer is Yes.

Sure you could say Im pulling the ol ‘grass is greener on the other side’ tactic.. but thats not the case.. what you have now is the movie industry’s circus scam.. they invite you to come see there attraction.. only to be dissapointed and scamed when its done.

I for one.. will not pay to be scammed.

I think the main reason that most of us are complaining that there are no good movies on that list is not because people are weird and downloading weird stuff but its more like there are very few good movies being made anymore.
Even highly publicized movies like for example Spiderman 3 turned out to be pretty crappy (1 and 2 were good imho)
am waiting for the next installment of Batman… and hoping it will be as good as the last one, if it is; i’m sure it will make it to the top of this list ;)
