If iiNet is responsible, in part, for their customers illegal downloads, should Audi (and other car manufacturers) also be responsible for the homicides committed by persons using their vehicles for drive by shootings? Audi should be aware of the possibility of their vehicles being used in such a way and blatantly refused to do anything to prevent it… They could install a patch into the engine that would cause it to shut down if it’s driven into known gang areas (much like we shut down browsers if they’re directed to known pirate sites)…And/or install metal detectors on the doors so if any metal is brought into the car, the car won’t go anywhere…

You know. Im pretty sure attaining world domination is most likely easier then trying to change the ever-changing digital landscape. no matter who you attack in the line, whether it are the ones sharing, the site giving access, the ISP providing the bandwith or the people. they can never win. Which makes this just boring and this broken record is starting to get on my nerves. they should just admit that their bussiness practice of the 20th century is no longer viable, but you know they will never admit that their practice is horribly outdated, for that would make all the millions they paid would have been for nothing and that’s unacceptable. so instead they rather keep throwing millions just to prove a point.

Also. seriously?? You are comparing the ISP-service with a homocidal car? Not only is it a shoddy argument but its also pretty ludicrous in exaggeration…then again guys like Burke would prefer a tank barging into your home with a platoon of armed men to confiscate your little laptop so its not that unheard off…
