So Mpaa and the Riaa employees contributed to the copyrighted material available on megaupload. Ironically if they had actually followed through with the idea. They probably would be making significant money from megauploads reward program.
Granted its not as profitable as someone actually buying the product but it's better than nothing. Instead they shut megaupload down and the only people now getting money are the "wonderful" lawyers. Even if they win a large sum, realistically they have no chance of collecting the awarded amount. Didn't the riaa learn anything from going after file-sharers? The internet is too large a network for the issue of piracy to be a addressed with lawsuits. However profit can be made indirectly from file sharing through cooperation between these types of businesses. Bottom line no one make money suing each other and indirect profit is better than no profit.

The fact that members of the ruling class violate the laws they make for others isn't really new information, though it is "news".
Actually, they didn't want to "team up" with Fat Kim, they wanted him to pay (aka, syndicate) the content.

Much of the email reads like typical cold call stupidity and not directed actions, moves by low level sales staff to try to fill a quote and not the CEO of the company hitting up Kim for a favor.

Kim keeps trying, and he keeps failing. Every one of these things plays against him in the end
