Maybe the “pawn shop” wouldn’t have ALL illegally procured items but maybe 99% of the items are. I’m not saying a whole technology is to blame (torrents, usenet, ect) but the individuals themselves. I mean, I download damn near everything I watch but I don’t try to justify it.
