If they want to cut down on the pirates, then all they have to do is not charge so much for a movie. I don’t feel any movie is worth $10+ for 2 hours of entertainment. Local water park is only $8 and I can stay there all day. I’ll never go to the theater, its a rip off.

It is different in the US. A movie theater is not a public space, one pays to go in there. Filming itself is also illegal.

Doesn’t matter. They can arrest as many as they want. The cams will still get released in English (as is now the case with Gravity), DVDs will still be ripped, and people will still download copyrighted material. Make prices more reasonable (ALL forms of media and not just content that’s years old), and people will be less inclined to pirate.
