They might lose out on ad revenue in the short term, but if they keep shovelling ads to people who’re completely uninterested in advertised products they’re going to end up watering down the value of a displayed advert anyway.

I really wish these morons running these companies would evolve some higher brain function.

This is the entertainment industry’s attempt to keep their monopoly on the movies/music. They know they are in trouble due to piracy and small artists selling their own music/movie productions. These greedy corporations have a nice stock pile of money sitting around to do this to try to get their way. All of their stockpile of money was from gouging the market for years and years. Hopefully the pirates and small artists will win and inflate the market to the point that these big corporations start to dwindle their profits and the artists get their fair share for once. That’s what it’s all about folks. The big CEO’s are the ones trying to keep their take.
