Well the lib dem's where wanting the DEB repealed before the election I'm still waiting......... or did that pompous cretin CA-MORON stop that?
To just talk hypothetically for a moment , if they where to win everything they didn't want us to access blocked inc VPN's I could see lost's of the isp's closing down as the numbers of users would dwindle significantly ,and for those fools left on the interweb (walled garden) they would end up paying some 5 times what they currently pay for a broken service, perhaps it is the intention of the government to medal in something it knows nothing about until it is no longer, maybe murdock would try and use it a a platform to server up media instead of via satellite ???

All politicians lie, its in their nature. Our current government has lied and had to back down on so many election pledges.

Our current government in the UK was strictly not voted for and in my opinion can fuck off. Bring back real politics!

https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikiquote/en/wiki/John_Gilmore

The Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.

    * As quoted in TIME magazine (6 December 1993)

Just hang on a wee minute here guys.
This was a Court hearing in the UK in which 6 of the richest movie studios in the World conspired and cooperated with each other to successfully get a decision to censor the internet via one UK-based ISP.

So it was the "Big 6" -v- BT Group plc.
What's noticeable is that it wasn't the "Big 6" -v- Newzbin2.
Nor was it BT Group plc -v- Newzbin2.

Newzbin2 wasn't even invited to this horrendous stitch-up of blatant censorship, and I'm afraid to admit that this awful decision is a major win for these MAFIAA organisations whose crimes against humanity are not only increasing every day but getting more effective too.

I have a letter from Ed Vaizey, the UK's Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries dated May 2011 in which he stated "The Government has no plans to introduce any censorship measures, and there are certainly no plans to block legal content or websites." I guess the Minister IS A LIAR then.
