Nintendo and Sony Pull SOPA Support? Not So Fast..

Business Insider claims that Sony and Nintendo pulled their support for the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA).

Really? We doubt it.

The report is based on a list of official SOPA supporters published by the House Judiciary Committee.

While it’s true that Sony and Nintendo are not on it, that doesn’t mean they don’t back SOPA and PIPA.

The report suggests that the two companies were pulled from the list, but they were never on it in to begin with (older version with GoDaddy).

For now it’s safe to assume that both companies are still backing SOPA (they signed this), but Sony may have to rethink its position as Anonymous is getting involved.
