You’re right that musicians and artists can make some money touring…but you still haven’t explained how filmmakers, game designers and novelists will be able to make money in the future. Youtube has been around six years and I’ve yet to see a single feature length film evolve from the so called new paradigm. If your theory were correct we should have already seen a few homemade films of high quality emerge,,, when will this happen…in ten years… in twenty? All I hear is the same recycled rhetoric of how change is good and we shouldn’t fear it and speaking from a personal basis I love the fruits of the internet. I just don’t understand how it will produce anything more than cheap homemade films,games and shareware once piracy reaches 100% penetration of the market place.

It can work with musicians…however with films, software, games, books, porno… not so much although I guess in porno the actresses could get a few extra bucks at the strip bar… Still waiting to see how we can hypnotize the other artists…sounds like you’re the one in denial
