Concerning bands who allow you to donate, why not have a sliding scale where you make a donation. 30% band, 70% charity….? You could be the one who chooses. If the Band makes too much through this method their could be a clause in their contract to ‘balance’ it all out, where a higher percentage is fed back to the charity. Oh, wait, we live in a twisted, greedy, murky world.

Artists do not own or control their own works when you sell out to the a company for a small part of what could have been yours but is now theirs. I have been involved with the sound engineering side of the industry for a number of years providing CHEAP high quality recording for bands and artists-I can tell you that everything is expanding – For the artists at least. The recording industry is dieing. The artists want to mix there albums-So I get paid, the artists want there CDs pressed so someone who works at a CD company takes the master and duplicates it for almost nothing, the artists want to play a gig and the people doing sound and stage AND body guards get paid-And each of these instances the artists get paid, the people WORKING get paid and the industry dosnt get a single god damn thing. Thats the problem with the way it is now-Thats just the problem. We took there hand out of the pot and im sure as hell not giving it back to them : )

Use this little software called PeerGuardian ( http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/ ). It should give you some privacy…

And of course I believe that anybody should be able to download and listen to music for free and THEN decide if he/she will buy that CD or not.

There is nothing the Greedy bastards can do about it. If not torrent, another form will come along. Like there was napster before torrent and DC++ and so on…

All this means is musicians are now actually paid for their real WORK = performing and creating material, rather than the go-between fatcats that have repeatedly screwed over bands with blackmail contracts and binding pre-agreements and whatnot.

Duplicator I believe 'John' and 'arealArtist' are actually just regurgitating mind in one of his many weak disguises. For instance 'John' states at Because 12-girls buy CDs and don’t steal the “music” they like. And then 'arealArtist' says here I had more songs stolen last year than were bought. You wouldnt steal a pack of gum from the grocery store because that would be morally wrong. Why would you steal art. Who else on here ever says anything about 'stealing' but RM or neo.na.zi? I've got quite the dossier built up on RM, he posts the same drivel on other blog sites, not just here. All you have to do is corner him with logic he can't refute without making himself out to be the shill he is, and then he will go away till the next article is posted. So go ahead RM keep posting your crap all over the web, I'm watching you!
