And I realize this is not the main thrust of the article. I’m specifically addressing your statement that piracy sites are “far from” dangerous. TPB, especially, really is a dangerous place for the uninitiated. Everyone at torrent freak is probably sophisticated enough to block or ignore the popups, but there are some truly malicious popup and banner ads on the site, making it a bad place for unsophisticated computer users.
