The problem is the issue of what is illegal in the UK versus what just barely passes the sniff test elsewhere. The UK cannot tell other countries how to operate, but they can (and have) rulings that say what can happen in the UK.

This is probably the future of the internet, get use to it.

Talk about bull crap. What it means is that they talk the talk, but don’t walk the walk. When push comes to shove, they know in their heart of hearts that they are wrong, and rather than put themselves on the line and standing up for what they believe in, they instead choose to slink away and hide.

The truth hurts: They are big talkers, small doers, just like most of the pirate community.

The legal advice I was told that they had received was that of what the parent post said the BPI’s case is on shaky grounds anyway. This is correct.

The biggest problem isn’t that the UKPP have the more solid ground than that of the BPI, but that the BPI has the bigger pockets enabling them to drag out the court cases so long that the UKPP run out of funds to keep fighting and lose by default.

Just use the Tor browser. Don’t act as a Tor Relay – they don’t encourage bit torrent traffic since Tor is used by people in censored countries to get news out. The Tor browser can be a bit slow loading pages but if its privacy u want u can’t beat it for surfing.
