Let's cut through the nonsense here. What is your opinion of torrent sites and forums who get money through affiliate programs run by scammers?

While you are thinking about that, please point out where exactly in the article above the author condemns the practice of screwing over n00bies. You see when I read it, I find statements like this:

"As a result, many genuine file-sharing sites collected good income from their affiliation with YottaCash, and vice-versa. As can be seen from this screenshot from the archive of the YottaCash website, converting a single user to a sale could yield very decent revenue."

This doesn't sound like a condemnation to me. Does it to you? When I read this it says, "Hey, this is a good way to make extra money." Would you care to dispute this?

There are still lots of people who get easily scammed by these advertisements. Some newbies I may say. Since they are new to the system, when they see these flashing ads that says free they will automatically click on it and before they could know they have been scammed. If you think the govt would help you, naaah! They even profit from it so it why would they give a damn?

That's not what is advertised and often not what's done. That's the issue. If they were making money out of some sort of P2P training and explicitly said that then there would be no problem indeed.

Wow. Either you are completely clueless or you are a professional troll. Or both.

If there's any praise to the thing in the article you can call it SARCASM. I recommend a good dictionary if you have issues with the word.

"This certainly sounds like the profits from these scamming sites are being passed around to mainstream sharing sites through affiliate programs." so using your logic you CERTAINLY are some high profile uploader that provides awesome leaks for the P2P community because you are reading TF. I'm amazed at your logic.

"Rather, it sounds like a well-oiled conspiracy to defraud." Only MAFIAA clowns would use the term seriously. Or trolls if you will.

As for the comments such as "A fool and his money are easily parted. No sympathy." I fully agree with them because it just takes 1 or 2 neurons to type in a search in Google to read good articles about file sharing and the mentioned programs. And you can always ask ppl about said companies. So yes, the scammed ppl do have part of the guilt. Which doesn't mean we can't help educate n00bs or that something shouldn't be done about those sites. I'd say something MUST be done.

"Only one person suggested that something needed to be done about these sites, and he was shot down." which comments are you reading? Neverland.com or something? I've seen quite a few comments against this sort of scheme and I didn't have to put effort in it. They are here. It seems that when the others said you fail at reading the article they forgot to add you fail at reading the comments too.

But wait, it's clear now by your moronic comments that you are a mere troll. A pretty good troll but in the end just a lame and pitiful one. *thumbs up*

I do like to play with the trolls and make them feel important though ;))

tbh I don't see it as a scam. If you make a website that explains in full noobish details how to download and share files and you want to charge for people to use your information and guidance then that is all good. Sure all what they offer is available for free if you know where to look but for a beginner then knowing where to look and what to look for can be quite difficult without help and many people are of course prepared to pay a small ammount to get this help.

You don't even need to research for even one second. Free means free. If free changes into a pricetag then it is a scam.

But it is some humans nature to be that easily scammed as there even exist people who pay a potential employer "costs" to possibly get a job while nothing like that will ever happen.
