oI have used Strong VPN for a couple of years now with no problems. Granted, I am not a heavy downloader. They do have good speeds and very rarely have I ever had a disconnect. Price is good too…I think it was $60 for the year.

It’s funny… everyone I know hit with one of these has gotten it from downloading some type of porn from a torrent site. Meanwhile, regular movies, particularly classics, seem to be safe…for now. On the flip side, when looking at networking attacks, how do they know you’re the one who actually downloaded the file, when all types of attacks happen every day on less secure personal networks…I’m talking about AT&T… had someone leaching off my DSL for the longest & their technical support has no suggestions on how to access your DHCP client to rectify the issue but instead insist there is no problem. In cases like that, I wonder how one would go about proving they were the victim of an attack and not the downloader in question.

The problem is knowing the good ones. Like an idiot I was using Hide My Ass which is horrible! I use the torch browser a lot that has hola, but I have no idea if they hold onto information or not. Seems like it’s time to look into something better…

I am using Astrill VPN and so far I have no problem when using torrents. My connection is secured and 3rd parties are not able to track me down. Also, speed of servers is awesome. Can’t be compared with other VPN :)
