Presses are different from the peer reviewed research that I suppose should have limited my earlier statement. That's what the original article talked about, so I may have been overly broad.

The copyright and patent stuff seems very shady, however. I thought that was all contracted with outside companies. A lot of that stuff does go against many university charters, although it is still done. I don't realize how much money they make through those methods. Where did you learn about the money distribution?

I'm a capitalist in the sense that I capitalize (create personal financial capital) on any situation with which I choose to become involved.

So, it looks like I'm capitalizing on my actions which you position as communist/socialist.

It doesn't matter what anyone chooses to call it as long as money flows my way.

The best solution is that in future all people wanting to publish their own articles for free on the internet stay away from ACSE. See how long they last when their publishing pool dries up - then when they're swallowed up by the big HOLE they've created they could then come back and change the C to an R as more proof of what they are (figure it out!!).

With the modern internet their must be a lot more places to publish documents without signing your own copyright to them away to a third party.
