On the issue of availability and piracy. Does anyone recall a UK musician john miles who reached mainstream attention in the mid 70s and probably best remembered for 2 singles 'slow down' and 'music' and also released a couple of well received albums.

I spotted a Miles fansite in the late 90s or early 00s, by this time his albums had long since been deleted. In fact his back catalogue had never made the transition from vinyl to cd. The fansite had contacted miles to find out if his material was available anywhere including as an import. He stated that the only publicly available source were mp3 rips someone had made from vinyl and gave his blessing to link to them. The interesting point here is that on the back of demand for the bootleg rips he managed to get a deal to publish his material on CD for the first time. Who says piracy doesn't help sales?

and you think with what you said this whole stance on copyright should stand?

so if there was a movie made that had the words

"hey tom go in the kitchen and make me some gingerbread to eat with my pie"

your saying because them words are copyrighted if some public member of this great world we UN-fortunately live in with the likes of alec dumbass fetty who's stealing our oxygen supply, so his wife cant say without breaking any laws

hey tom go in the kitchen and make me some gingerbread to eat with my pie?

Let me tell you that's as stupid what you've said as apple trying to patent the letter "i"

if thats the case, all motor cars, motocycles wouldn't exist because they all drive with an engine all drive on 4 wheels and all come with a steering wheel.

all different computers mobile phones would be breaking coypright after all they all have buttons all are used to call someone

in some cases you can say unique stuff can be copyrighted something that is rare i grant you that.

but speech, moving images, and pure noise waves or vibrations as in (music) is just stupid

The human body can make these noises it's part of us so how can someone possibly play god and tell me i have to pay to listen to noise or to make the same noise that i can too?

how can someone make me pay to watch moving pictures??? and certainly why should someone get in trouble for words in a text file that they've wrote just repeating something someone said while they was being filmed???

them words all exist in the human language and dictionary, so regardless what order you put them in why should it matter?

Copyright is a joke intellectual property is a complete joke, how can someone own an idea? a thought??

it's just bizarre
