I paid till the end of this month, but since Saturday I can’t download anything.

The changed their download system, and took my money.

I personally don’t like RS but this sets a good precedent.

And the irony, MAFIAA tasting some of its “endless appealing” medicine from one that actually has the financial muscle to endure it.

There’ll be a time when MAFIAA will be left with no place to run but evolution or death. We’ll live to see this. And laugh.

I have been using Rapidshare for some time and I have to disagree with many of the comments that have been said. Rapidshare are a compnay which care for their users and always keep you up to date on new services. Yes torrentz may be free but you wait for longer. On average a torrent download can be anything from 0.9kbps – 19kbps during peak time and only 7.2kbps – 32.9kbps during times when servers are not busy. Rapidshare offer a free service and also a premium service depending on what type of user you are. Free users have to wait around 14 minutes between each download but this is to prevent traffic sharing rising to a high. Rapidshare only charge to give you the best service possible. The profits which many people seem to believe are to provide its users with better speeds and to upgrade their servers. Without people paying there way Rapidshare and other sites will simply not exist as servers will become congested and speed will become much slower. Yes Rapidshare do profit some of the money from its premium users but don’t all companys make some profit? Many of you have argued that Rapidshare should be closed down due to piracy laws, however at the same time you stated that you prefer to use torrentz. It has been proved that only 0.3% 0f files via torrent downloads are legal and torrentz are not checked against piracy and other copyright laws. Rapidshare on the other hand do there very best to prevent illegal downloading which is much more than the providers of torrentz. Rapidshare are committed to keeping there service open and there is always the option of free downloading. I would be very interested in how many of you use Rapidshare and wether you disagree or agree with me. All opinions are acceptable and will be taken seriously. Thank you.

@10, TPB removed torrents that were reported… and they banned their info hash so it couldn’t be uploaded again. And probably this was done by a lot of other sited. Yet they were held liable.

Rapidshare reached a point that’s pratically unusable if you don’t pay for it (even if you do PAY, you still have LIMITS).
