I have personally been addicted to morphine and codeine through no choice of my own (use as pain relief after a car crash). Fortunately I have a loving family and a strong mind so I pulled out of it once I realised what it was. So I know what addiction feels like.

Heroine users are generally not as lucky as I was as they usually have issues to begin with and have no support network.

If you are indeed telling the truth about your father then I know for a fact that you are a shitty person and an even worse son.

I’ve been retired for a long time, but GLM was a friend of mine and
we’ve known each other for ages so we decided to do this. I think You’ve
misinterpreted a few things here so let me clarify this.

Glm was
not a drug addict, a heroin user or anything like that. Glm battled
Social phobia and some other stuff which he helped by getting some
medication which in some cases was pretty nasty stuff. Lately he also
had back problems which caused him to use some strong painkillers and
those things are addictive.

By all means GLM was never a saint,
he had tried some drugs and have smoked weed, but he was never the drug
using abusive dad You describe. He loved his daughter, and though his
social phobia did give him some problems he tried to be the best dad he
could possibly be to his daughter. She’s now alone, but the rest of us
will help if possible.

Im sorry to hear you have had some bad
experiences with drugs through your dad, but please do not project this
into everybody who mentions the word drugs to you. They can be many
things.

So while you may be a victim of someone who abused drugs. It is clear that you have never been addicted yourself, just by the words and disrespect you pop off at others.

If you fought drug addiction and made it through recovery yourself, I would be willing to listen to you. But you’re just a hurt victim (with every reason to be) expressing your views of scorn, but they are mere opinions as you assume the battles a drug addict battles, as you have never experienced it yourself.

Your dad was a heroin addict?
Yea well almost all memories of my childhood with my father, he was an abusive alcoholic. And you would think you being a son of a addict, you would be more understanding.

Did your father battle his drug addiction which stripped his time away from his family or you? Must of been a hard battle..

Or did your father just love the drugs more then you? Because the way you talk, this is what your making it seem like.

If you really think this, and that your father loved his drugs more then you and his family, then I actually pity you, as you are clueless.

I had this same view of the world, the world is a ugly place full of corruption, cruelties, famine, sickness and sin. With the technology, resources, and finances to remedy it all, but not utilized because it is more profitable to have sickness, cruelties, and famine. Seeing the world in it’s true colors was the reason I started to do drugs in the first place.

If you can go threw this world clean, and see the horrors about, and be happy about the view, then the wave of monstrosities has already consumed you, and turned you into a monster with the rest of them. As you stated, we are nothing more then keyboard warrior pirates, I’m sure you think the homeless are poor by choice too, and they deserve no respect or help from you.

And even though they may be consumed legally, the negative effects are very real, and tolerated and accepted by society.
