it says safari can’t find the server bt.etree.org with my rogers internet connection – switch the ethernet cable to the bell alliant server and it loads no problem right away! shameful!

rogers should be breaking the law i can’t access bt.etree.org webpage to even load a tracker torrent for days now, because i currently have two internet accesses now because rogers is eliminating its portable internet service i can switch to my bell alliant adsl connection and access the webpage no problem!
rogers blocks access to the etree webpage – switch my wi-fi connection on the ipod to bell it loads no problem. government should not allow this!

I have no other option PERIOD, in our building. Talk about a captive audience. Yeah, I know…. move. LOL! I can’t speak Swedish though.

Trust me, if there were viable options, I’d be all over it.

And as Kr0nZ says, if you can get Bell, well, it’s from the fry pan into the fire!

I guess i can cancel my strongVPN account once they stop throttling me. major pita when you have to pay a third party so you can get the service you should have without them.

I love government controlled monopolies.

It’s ironic, one one hand you want proper competition so the customer has some options, and on the other hand, nothing like this would happen if the government imposed some net neutrality.

trouble is they are now cutting back on speeds to companies that contract to them in preparation for their own customers expected boom in downloading. i have a smartphone with Petro Canada (Speakout from 711 is the same) who contract through Rogers, and i can no longer get 3G as of Feb. 1. speed is so slow, most apps won’t even work anymore.
