not for me. i buy less than that one album per year (and that’s normally just for birthday/xmas presents). there’s no way i can justify €120 per year to stream music.

i still use spotify occasionally, but i now download FUCKLOADS more since the rules changed. byebye artist royalties.

You don’t own the music you get from iTunes. You only own a license to play it. And even that may be revoked.

Depends how much music you actually buy, and how much you listen to that you already have. I used Spotify until they screwed up the Free users, but now I use iTunes. With Spotify, you are paying to listen, whereas with iTunes, you are paying to own.

The problem for me isn’t the price, it’s that is not available here. The ironic part is that I live at the border of a country where Spotify is available, so, less then a km from my house, you can use Spotify, but not here.

Does this make any sense at all?

I would if I could. I was able to use it from abroad for free, but you need an account from one of the supported countries to pay for it.
