What is in issue is whether mankind – initial cause or not – can have any impact whatsoever by now. Once we hit a certain treshold – say, enough to start thawing the siberian tundra on certain parts of the year – enough methane will be released to exceed anything mankind could dream of managing if we tried.

Putting a stopper on what is, essentially, a positive feedback cycle, is planetary engineering. I doubt we as a species have the resources to pull that one off.

And speaking of speedtest – try using pingtest as well, same page. Or run a ping against google.

Thing is, what a bandwidth test tells you is only how much data you can push – on average – over a given amount of time. a Ping or Tracert will tell you another story – how many packets fall in transit and have to be re-sent.

If your connection is stable, 2 mbs should be sufficient, but not if a stream buffer has to re-send 20% of the data because link broken.

This is what telcos like not to tell people when they promise “X bandwidth, guaranteed”. traffic shaping and unstable linkages can screw your day, ensuring you need much more bandwidth for a time-sensitive service than advertised.

This is also why mobile phone data connections traditionally have bad luck with streaming applications in many places.

On topic, I personally mainly listen to youtube remixes and the like right now.
Since whats on spotify are more or less only mainstream (that has cd releases) with very little in the form of non-official releases (such as trans remixes/nightcore and so forth) nor anything thats not locally available. ->
There is a huge lack of music thats on any language besides your local language/english, no matter the actual size of the artists (internationally speaking).
