don’t forget that they can also track you using printed paper from laser printer. little yellow microscopic dots that tell the serial number of printer and the date it was printed. you cant even print out flyers telling people they are being spied on without being spied on.

For the NZ courts, the reasonableness of the charges is pretty basic, does the case add up to something like what the charges show. On paper, the very basics of what Meg and Kim’s other companies were up to looks very much like money laundering, attempting to move ill gotten gains through memberships to download or view pirated materials to other companies who only sold traffic, visitors, or advertising to the main site. Without going any further than a basic summary of the alleged activities, the reasonableness of the charges are met.

The other thing is that the charges do not have to amount of an indictable offense in NZ, only that the type of offense is similar. An extreme example would be murder, you don’t have to be charged with murder in NZ to be extradited to the US. The US only has to show that the charges make some sense, and away you go.

They don’t have to show guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, they only have to show that they have enough to make a case. With grand jury indictments, they already have all they need to show reasonableness.

Which facts would those be? Remember, this is an extradition hearing, not the criminal case itself. Defending yourself against extradition generally is a case of showing that your life is in danger if you are extradited. As Kim is not on the hook for a death penalty offense, he can’t claim that.

What he tried to do was get all the evidence entered in NZ so that he could try to apply NZ to get some of it struck down or thrown as being invalid by NZ law, so that his legal team could use that ammo later in the US. It was an attempt circumvent the US system and to create doubt. He failed massively, and on top of it has wasted 2.5 years trying to do it.

He will be extradited to the US if he keeps fighting the legal battle, it’s more likely that he slips out of the country on a private flight or similar to a country with no extradition treaty with the US. In the end, Kim will not want to face justice for his crimes.

the us court have already come to the conclusion that he’s guilty and gets life in jail
