There is no way in hell that the government makes more money on mere taxes/VATs for buying media to offset the massive amount of resources poured into police officers going after file sharers. It’s just not possible. Not to mention that more police doing this means less dealing with REAL crimes like murders, assaults, burglary, etc.

…and NO, file-sharing is not a real crime. Just something fabricated by large entertainment industries that like to still use severely outdated business models but want to remain relevant by outlawing all their competition.

In Sweden you can pretty much find out anything about everyone. As soon as this group is set up, all the members should be named and shamed with

Personal ID number, address, age…..

posted online. Since virtually nobody in Sweden under 35 never downloaded, these people will be hypocrites of the first order. Naming and shaming them is definitely a helpful public service.
