Have you tried configuring your proxy PAC in another browser?
While I don't really think that would be the problem, it is possible. I know Firefox can screw with stuff at times when it updates (two updates alone in the past few days).

Well, I sent an e-mail. It was suggested to try adding www to the url. I'd previously tried that which didn't help. I set up a brand new filter list containing url's both with and without www. That didn't really help - some sites where still blocked (inc. tpb which STILL worked on a previously filter). Currently for me, everything is still blocked.

This isn't Orwell - it's Huxley.

People like things the way they are.

They didn't need to manipulate the No vote because that was what the people wanted - the media loves good narrative story, so that's what we got! Don't believe it was ever in question, because the majority wants things same as always and comfortable.

Westminster or Holyrood, they are all corporate arse lickers with friends in the right places. For what it's worth, the UK government's partnership with the creative industries is a pretty useful one - Guardians of the Galaxy etc wouldn't have been filmed here if it weren't for the tax breaks, and as a result we got great jobs for awesome people.

It was only a matter of time before the relationship got abusive... but think of the jobs! No government wants to rock the boat.

Do what they say, quietly block the sites and everyone keep calm and carry on.

You are right on that one when the biggest failing of the Android O/S is its total lack of a proxy setting in the next configuration. Some places like schools simply can't use Android devices when they can't pass through the local proxy.

I recommended Proxy Droid when it claims not to need root access but its auto configuration support seems lacking.

I borrowed my mother's ipad2 for a clean system in which to assemble and test a PAC file which I may later release to unblock all current blocked UK sites.

I got the update - thanks. It's really ridiculous. You Fail Again has asked a good question though: How did your site end up on their list? You are not really a high profile site. I wonder if they have someone that scans forums like this.

I am not in the UK and really don't know the details of their classification framework, but don't they have to inform you if they put you on the filter? How is one supposed to know unless - like you - you accidentally find out?
