You see the sets & costumes every time the movie or show is on just like you hear the words and see the actors, they get Emmy and Oscars, too, and are obviously also considered creatives. Why don’t people think they should get a cut as well? Or the secretaries who made it all possible? How about repeated payments to the hardworking behind-the-scene people, too?

I think TPTB have controlled the message and have trained us to think that the people “at the top” of the entertainment pyramid deserve repeat payments, and no mention to anyone else even if their contribution to what we enjoy is as great as everyone elses.

The whole idea of file sharing is that people get free stuff and if we like said free stuff, we buy it, although not everyone does that, because hey, it’s hard to pass up free, especially when everyone can render everything in 1080p HD, but with viewing illegal streaming, you have to worry about annoying buffering and the DMCA, with Netflix you will have no such problem.
