Apparently there is some fraud thing that could make it illegal but the only case I can find of that happening was when the guy was found to be uploading the recordings.

I would prefer that Obama just put everything the RIAA/MPAA make into eminent domain whilst blocking them from taking litigation at all against government but I don’t believe it will happen for a long LONG time.
