Crysis 2 was a stinker.  I’m still a fan of the first two games, but C2 was a joke that bored me after a half hour.

and then there’s the quality of the game. personally, i played through portal 2 but only played crysis 2 for about 20 minutes.
i guess that’s why developers usually don’t release demos any more… they can squeeze out a little more profit because people only realize how shitty a game is AFTER they’ve bought it. and of course – no returns for games.

taking that and the possibility of odd calculation into consideration, i very much doubt that all of those downloaded copies for the PC were played as much as the downloaded copies for consoles. because if you go through the trouble of downloading and burning a dvd or something for a console, you’ll probably actually play it.

although… on the one hand, a bad reception will probably result in more piracy than sales.

still… it seems suspiciously high to me and reminds me of how cd projekt calculated how many copies of witcher 2 were downloaded. which resulted in similarly ridiculous numbers.
