I didn’t even know that there were some specifiic apps for this problem. Closed-Captions on YouTube seems (to me) to be something rarely encountered. I knew of them, of course, but never thought it would apply to anything I’d actually want.

just extract and run the batch file for windows might take couple seconds, enter in the full video url when it’s acquired the source just hit go it downloads and converts to .srt, it will even translate them to another language
Another one I have used on one occasion is this it will do the video and subs in a separate stream.

when I ran it and hit the greyed active button and hit cancel a would you like to donate link popped up?? it also runs ads. It is cross platform. For the video I used it on it worked beautifully.
