we have the same problem all over the countries in Europe - but you can't see any of our corporations and/or governments bullying their twisted views upon the rest of the world. US need a civil war. An uprising by their enslaved citizens. Protests en masse and pressure put upon the greedy, dirty persons behind the scene. Start with bying a bike and demand for pavements to ride on instead of another car.. ;) That'll sure get through.. :D

Is there any organised response to everytime US government is out bulluying other independent countries in this only defending US-money interest? I see a need for consumer retaliation site: "today I bought this or that and I took great care in not buying US (even components/parts if one like). I wont stand for this bullying me and others around!"

Canada could for once start flicker with the lights and mass camp by the water inlets with truckloads of domestic brewskies flooding down eager throats. At any given moment there is N persons ready to stand up, drop pants and let their water go. Raised prices is the answer to ensure the flickering to stop and the brewskies to dry up. Until next threat of course.. Why co-operate with a weak and depending offensive yelling bully not having the faintest rememberance of the true values of the revolutionary and founding great ideals: Egality, Brotherhood and Liberty. The great thinkers of that time applauded US and there is a lady given as a gift as a memorial of these forgotten high moral values.I mean, even China has higher goals than sticking their head in the sand protecting their precious life-style. Less bullying and not necessarily less democratic. And a true knowledge of that change feeds develepment.

Personally I have, with little impact on life-style, avoided buying US products since Bush cheated his way to power and it got obvious what a fake-democracy US has become. A wicked tool controlled by shameless shortsighted greed. Opposing every responsability for future generations oftenmost conflict seeking and seldom consensus. Still, where so is acknowledged, it wont be seen through in practice. Sadly once a great promising young nation led by dynamic and visionary leaders. Open and WELCOMING NEW IDEAS embracing them leading away from old empires oppression. Once flew high but is now tumbling in the narrowminded darkness of protectionism. It has indeed become worse than that forefathers fought and won their freedom from. The negative impact needs in someway to be visualised back in someway. Of course there is one. The world can certainly do w/o US but US can't do w/o the support as exampled in Wirehedd's list of Canada providing necessesities like water and electricity. It's therefore totally bonkers that a bully should be left to do his ugly business when in fact all it takes is all of us putting our foot down stating "'nuff! STFU Start behaving according to international treaties recognising more than the contraproductive, selfish and egoistic approach of own maximal gain in every matter. There doesn't exist any US foreign operation, including WWII (stood up WWI remember..) where US hasn't had a personal agenda and calculated pros vs cons. Nothing wrong in countries looking out for themselves but when it nowadays is done giving the bird to the rest of the world I think it deserves to be pointed out. What goes around comes around.

To the point: I wonder if there is a more organised way to get correlated response to this bullyiing acts. To show that US in fact is LOOSING real money (not only reputation and support) by this stupid ignorant going about ugly business. This has in fact many parallells with the pre-WWII ultimatums made by the Nazi-regime. Both dictated unconditional handing over of specific cultural areas to their control. And, as then, they are meet by the feeble response by weak governments screwing their own people in the interest of foreign money. Where will this end? Orwell/Bradbury fascist-states? Why is this not taken to UN? US doesn't pay their tribute to UN anyway so their leverage should be weak to say at least!

Might want to recheck your "facts" Skippy.

Most of the eastern seaboard's power comes from Quebec, not Niagara Falls. As for the water, again, a lot of it is coming out of Northern Ontario and Quebec.
