We have a corruptible civil court system in the USA.. which can be exploited for money and political favors. This is just the latest example of such. These inflated PPV events are out of control.. first $5, then $10, then $20, then $40, then $80 and sky’s the limit… Are they really worth all that? First run movies still mostly get less than $20 a pop.. and they are bonafide productions which ACTUALLY cost millions (sometimes). When they talked about expanding the 6 strikes law.. it’s these kinds of sketchy companies who want in on the action. See? Vote for a republican you get one kind of corruption, vote for a democrat and they’ll find a way to sneak erosion of your rights at the last minute (sneaky stab you in the back moments).

Hahaha, that crazy Steven Messina! ;) Tales such as the one described in this article are really a sight for the proverbial sore eyes. In the midst of all the mudslinging accusations and heinous legal battles, it is a veritable balm to hear this heartwarming tale of the Content Industry and former Pirates coming together to prove that there is still hope for redemption and a peaceful solution to the Intellectual Property quandary. Messina, a former criminal and Copyright Violator, has now redeemed himself in front of society and is now a valiant example for all of us to follow. Here is a metaphorical toast to our friend, and let us all wish that his truly inspiring message does not fall on deaf ears of the current pirates. May Steven Messina and Zufa be successful in all their future (licit!) endeavors! ;)

Sadly these dipshits failed to realize that copyright was intended to protect you from someone coming along and claiming they own your thing and trying to pass it off as though it came from you etc..

NOT this whole assurance of profit routine.

It’s gotten to the point where suing file sharers is a profit making business in of itself.. no content even needed.
They prob have a far better profit margin on leaking content then suing anyone that shares for free a DERIVATIVE creative product.

Seems the creative industries don’t have the faintest clue what that word means.
