The may find that the uploader is an illegal alien from S. America using a stole wifi connection from the little old lady down the street.
Or maybe a guy that has been dead for 2yrs because ISP is automatically paid while his will in probate and one of he neighbors is using his wifi connection.

I was just saying that as of right now there are VPN’s out there that do not keep logs and are not required to.

Also, if said VPN is located in a country that isn’t under the USA pressure umbrella – who is going to force them to keep logs?

In my opinion, any VPN that does keep logs is useless anyways. How is that going to be marketed anyways – “You get complete anonymity (Sort of)”?

@80, why do you think VPNs will be allowed to provide total anonymity in the future? Even iPredator keeps logs and admits it will turn them over to the Swedish authorities under criminal circumstances. ISPs are being mandated to provide IP identities for infringement claims. I don’t see why proxies and VPNs won’t be next. They’re just not on anyone’s radar yet since most pirates don’t even use them.

UFC fights are like $40 a pop or some absurd amount. If it was more affordable then more people would purchase without having to go in with multiple friends..

Half the time bars are the ones that broadcast them, charge everyone a $5 cover charge, and make bank. You ever hear lawsuits about that?

Furthermore, I’d like everyone to read the following quote:

“In 2009, the UFC banked $350 million in PPV revenue.”

This doesn’t include merchandise, drink/food sales (at fights), as well as TICKET SALES.

These greedy bastards have so much money, that fact itself doesn’t make me want to EVER buy a fight.

How can you not afford to watch a UFC pay per view. You could watch it on the cheap by going to a bar and ordering 1 beer. Holy shit, cheap, lazy bastards.

What I’m wondering is what their real stance is on torrents of recordings of the pay per view. What if they just don’t want streams but will “allow” piracy of recordings.
