That second quote was addressing the MP quotes above it, which said merely searching for the albums brought up illegal results, as opposed to people who tailor their searches with "download" or "mp3".

That said, TF's link was a search for a band, not a specific album. Midnight Memories wasn't mentioned in the results either.

"For example, the BPI complains that searches for a band name followed by “download” and/or “mp3″ often turns up music from unauthorized sources."

then u say

"Of course that’s just not true either, as this search for One Direction’s Midnight Memories shows"

when infact you didnt add mp3 to it cause when you do the results do lead you to torrent sites,

now i download all the time and think the gov are in the pockets of the media but if your going to write a piece lambasting what was said dont lie in it, you lose credibility

I just wanted to add my opinion about piracy and all the other bullocks....
So I went into town and bought myself a DVD, then decided to make a copy of it and share it on the internet because I want others to watch it and enjoy it or whatever.... Now this movie I bought, I paid for it, so it is mine and I own it, right????
and part of what I paid is tax, now that tax is for the government, right???
I paid my part so you retarted government leave me the fuck alone!! Wanking Brothers shut the fuck up you're already making millions every year just through cinema movies!!!!

So if I wanted to go on a torrent website and download a movie I should have no problem because that movie was NOT stolen! Who the fuck would say that is called stolen????!!!!
Also, our ISPs have no right whatsoever to block certain websites! We pay for our internet so we should get what we pay for!
If you agree with me please share or like... you're free to do whatever you like, just don't tell on me :P

That won't happen though, they will bring in the New World Order that they so wish want to happen. One world currency to fix the poverty issues around the world (which the corporations and rich created themselves through greed and corruption). Once this becomes reality, they will control everything, and then they will make sure everyone stays slaves by not owning anything (land, food, materials - anything you own) and they will have a complete spy network to watch everything you do everyday (location, what you buy, what medical issues you have, etc all in databases). If you step out of line or say anything bad about them, they will simply kill you. GAME OVER FOLKS.

I've noticed the last 3 years I've been watched by the NSA. Come to find out I made some controversial posts on some Youtube videos about the government. Next thing I know these fuckers have been watching me since. I've finally come to the conclusion that these fuckers tracked every google search I've done (some bad), every yahoo email I've received (torrent sites and crap), and every facebook post I've made. Needless to say, I've managed to get rid of all of these and now I'm clean free and these fags are gone. It was like a monkey on your shoulder. These guys knew everything and thought I was a damn terrorist. What a joke. The point being here is this: Stop using google guys. There are alternative search engines out there that will censor your IP from being tracked. There are alternative free email sites out there that don't track your emails. There are alternative sites you can use, even though it will be tough since the top sites are always more popular.

I think once enough people get angry we will have the political will to change the copyright laws. A song or a movie should have NO MORE than ONE year of protection. We need to outlaw corporate ownership of copyrights too. The artist should be the only one with rights.

Just more lies to explain the ongoing recession. Legal alternatives may temporarily increase revenue but the sad reality is the UK is in financial trouble. Most people in low paid jobs are just about keeping their heads above water. The figures given this month for unemployed people finding work is a lie. What is really happening is the use of sanctions and the stopping of payments ranging from a month to six months. People now go to seek financial aid with dread in their hearts and many are being reduced to public tears in benefit offices around the country. Millions of eastern Europeans are working on temporary contracts year in and year out for agencies who pay them minimum wage - a form of middle man practice that puts the Mafia to shame. As for the UK music industry losing money from file sharing well that may be true but its going to get worse for all - we are going to do what no government, religion, civilization or individual has ever managed to do in history - untie the world. It may never be a perfect unity but I think we all know that democracy is built on the freedom of speech and the accountability of those we entrust with our lives. Let file sharing continue because its impact is already known and we are all witnesses to the strengthening of democracy around the world. File sharing is more than what you get for nothing - it represents something deeper - a desire that transcends the past to offer hope for the future.
